Portland Fine Arts Guild welcomes artists of all ages, working in all mediums and at all levels of expertise including art professionals, emerging artists, amateurs and those who appreciate art. Our founder, Virginia Koch Swanson, dreamed of establishing an art guild in Portland, Oregon and, in 1969, she arranged a meeting in her home to promote interest. The Portland Fine Arts Guild was born, and in 1973, the Guild incorporated and received non-profit status. Since that time, the Guild has grown to be a vital part of Portland’s vibrant art scene. We provide the finest instructors who teach exciting, innovative and affordable week art classes including classes in Pencil, Graphite, Acrylic, Watercolor, Oil, Pastel, Collage and Mixed Media.
